The 15th Annual Hawgs for Dogs all Harley ride was held on July 10th and 11th, 2004, at the beautiful Telemark Resort, in Cable, Wisconsin. We raised over $81,000.00! There were 89 bikes at this year's event. The Minnesota Chapter-Hawgs for Dogs has now exceeded "one million dollars" in pledges raised for Guide Dogs of America!
After a beautiful day of riding on Saturday, some pool time, R&R, and a prime rib dinner, an entertaining auction was held that raised almost $11,000.00. Deb Franke won the trip for two to Las Vegas, NV. Deb and her husband Bill have been participating in this event for many years. Everyone took home a prize of some kind, and we are very grateful to our many sponsors for their generous donations!
On Sunday morning, after some thanks, and a nice breakfast, we for headed home under the rainy skies. After an hour or so, the sun broke through and dried our bodies and bikes, making for a nice, safe ride home.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this event a roaring success! Because of you, we are able to keep giving people the "gift of sight"!
